Frozen sift is dry sift made from fresh frozen plants. Sifted while still frozen, the resin heads snap off cleanly and keep more of the plant’s fresh terpene profile.
What is frozen sift?
Frozen sift is dry sift made from fresh frozen plants rather than dried, cured flower. The plants are frozen soon after harvest, then sifted while still frozen. At that temperature the resin heads are brittle, so they snap off the plant cleanly and keep more of the fresh terpene profile that drying and curing would otherwise change.
How frozen sift compares
Frozen sift sits between classic dry sift and ice water hash. Like dry sift, it never touches water. Like ice water hash made from fresh frozen material, it starts from frozen plants and tends to taste brighter and fresher. You will often see "WPFF" on the label, short for whole plant fresh frozen.
Storing frozen sift
Fresh-profile hash rewards careful storage: airtight, dark and cool, and away from heat that softens it. See how to store hash.
